TROTTING.
CAMBRIDGE CLUBTHE COMING MEETING. ADMISSION CHARGES REDUCED. At a meeting' of the Cambridge Trotting Club executive there were present, Alessrs N. Banks (vi6e-presi-dent) chairman, J. W. Garland, A. H. Nicoll, C. Chariton, J. AlcAlillan, W. AicAlilian, and the secretary (Mr W. Stopford). It was decided to reduce the admission charges to the course for the annual fixture on Saturday, May 3, as follows: Lawn enclosure, men 6s, ladies 4s. Outside, 2s. In view of the reduced charges it was also decided to materially limit the number of complimentary tickets. This decision is in accordance with the action taken by nearly alt other clubs. Arrangements were made for the calling of tenders for the publican's booth, refreshment booth and tobacco stall.
Improvements at Course.
The meeting briefly discussed a comprehensive scheme of improvements to the facilities at the course. The scheme provides for the removing hack of the present buildings so as to provide additional accommodation for the viewing of the races. In this connection the proposal will provide for the accommodation of 4000 more patrons. The moving back of the grandstand will allow for a series of concrete steps to be erected and will create a vast improvement on the present limited conditions. The scheme of improvements will again engage the committee’s attention at a special meeting to-be held next month. With the scheme approved the work will he commenced immediately after the coming annuai fixture.
