NO IMPROVEMENT IN DEMAND. Si PRICES SAME AS LAST WEEK. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Messrs A. Buckland and Son, report that to-day at Westfield their beef supply totalled 261 head, comprising 141 steers and 120 cows and heifers, compared with 433 head last Wednesday. There was no improvement in the demand, and values realised were on a par with those of last week. Extra choice ox sold to 37s per 1001 b; choice and prime, 34s to 375; secondary and plain, 32s to 335; prime young, cow and heifer beef, 30s to 335; secondary, 24s to 295., Heavy prime steers ranged in price from £l4 to £ls; lighter £l2 15s io £l3 17s f.d; light, £ll 10s to £l2 i2s Gd; unfinished and small, £8 7s 6d to £ll 17s Gd; heavy prime young cows and heifers, £9 15s to £1.1; lighter, £7 10s to £9 12s 6d; other cows, £1 10s to £6 17s Gd.
