YOUR EVENING FROCK.
MUST BE IN TATTERS. It is rather a charming whim of fashion really, this ragged effect, and it’s all a matter of knowing what to put and where to put it! For instance, if you have a lace frock and you’d like to give it an uneven hemiine, all you need is a square of flne net to match on which to sew flower shapes cut from panne velvet in loveliest shades to tone. Attach this by one of the corners half way up the skirt so that it trails prettily. Complete the idea by wearing a cluster of the same flowers on one hip. Why not give your often-danced-in chiffon frock a tiny shoulder cape with ragged chiffon flowers? You’ll love the effect. Then on a plain taffeta' gown little tags of velvet ribbon, graduating in colour, are massed at the hip and on (he bodice to give the smartest effect. Quito easy to do, you see, and you will bring a not-so-new frock right Up to the minute!
