MINES TO RE-OPEN.

UNION’S RESOURCES FAIL. FEDERAL BOUNTY REFUSED <3OOO LOSE THEIR JOBS. United Fross Assn.—Elec. Tel.—Copyright, (Received March 25, 1.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 25. It is understood the mining dispute has practically ended. As the Federation is unable to maintain the continuance of the struggle it is expected a number of northern pits will reopen next week with union labour. The Federal Government intimated that it cannot in the present financial stringency pay the 9d per ton asked for by the miners to make up their pay to the former amount. The Governments and employers will probably co-operate In an endeavour to find work for the 4000 colllory employees whose Jobs have permanently gone.
