BRIDGE PARTY.

FAREWELL AT LYCEUM CLUB. Miss Ngaire Jackson was hostess at an enjoyable bridge party given last night at the Lyceum Club in honour of Miss Nell Pillar, who leaves shortly for Gisborne. Progressive bridge was Gisborne. Progressive bridge was played, prizes being won by Miss Erena Ward, Miss Trix Monckton and Miss Gecille Chilly. The card room was charmingly arranged with bowls of zinnias and dahlias in shades of golden brown. Miss Jackson was wearing a frock of flounced lettuce green organdie falling to an uneven hemline. Miss Pittar was wearing a lovely frock of deep cherry georgette and lace fashioned with close-fitting bodice and long fluted skirt. A delicious supper was served and midnight brought a very happy party to an end. Those present were: Mrs. R. D. MacFarland, Mrs Alan Matthews, Misses Val. Watts, Norah Yalder, Trix Monckton, Kath. Wilson, Bessie Vickery, Lilian Yalder, Alison Bell, Cecille Chi tty, Betty Manning, Florence I-lall, Doris Clark, Ruby Vickery, .Betty Taylor, Kath. Oliver, Erena Ward, Innes Taylor, Dell Yule.
