A tournament of the St. Mary's Tennis Club, opened on Saturday, Avas attended Avith marked success. Play was of a good standard and some interesting games eventuated. ■The ladies’ singles were Avon by Miss K. Fitzgerald, Mr P. Clarkin being successful in the men’s division. The ladies’ doubles were Avon by Misses M. Barrell and M. Monk. WA. Gwynne and P. R. Cuming were successful in the men’s section.
