Dalgety and Co., Ltd., visited • Hamilton to-day to play the annual cricket fixture with the employees of the local branch.. The incessant rain during the morning delayed the commencement of t'he match, the game starting at 2.15 p.m_, four hours after schedule time. In the morning the wicket was covered with tarpaulin and the match was played on matting. Acckland batted first. A. Singleton and N. Lindrum carried the tally along with neat strokes around the wicket and at 3.15 p.m. there • were 77 runs on the bdard without loss of a wicket —Singleton 32, Lindrum 43; extras, 2.
