CRASHED INTO STREET. MOTH MACHINE WRECKED. LINESMAN BADLY BURNED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.—Copyright. (Received March 24, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 24. A Moth plane, piloted by Mr W. .T. Powell, crashed in a street in Maroubra, wrecking the telephone wires, and narrowly missing a motor car. The engine had stalled, and the machine had insufficient way on to reach a neighbouring space, where a safe landing might have been effected. Tim pilot,-therefore, had to make the best of a street space offering. The plane was wrecked, but Powell was not seriously hurt. A linesman who -later was clearing llm wires, touched a live one. lie was taken to llm hospital badly burned.
