GIRL GUIDES.
D“> GUIDES AND BROWNIES, — Another letter from Claudel amis for yon—bow keen they seem to be with their work! PETER PAN.
Robin Patrol, Claude lands Company write*.— lLast Saturday at five o’clock all the Ist. Claudelands -Company were at the (Motorists’ Camp busily collecting firewood, with which to cook their tea. As soon as all the fires were set each Patrol had a race to have the billy boiling. . This the Swallows won, then all hands were turned to preparing the tea, consisting of “ Galloping Guinea-pigs ’’ and 'Damper which was really very delicious. While some were cooking the tea, others were. practising signalling and drill for the Field Day which by the way is on the 29th. and all hands are turned to make it a success. After tea as darkness was drawing nigh we quickly prepared a small campfire, around which we sang many of our old songs, and as it was 1 our first
Company camp Are this year, there was placed on it a twig which had come from the first Dominion Gampfire in January. After prayers and taps we returned home extremely happy after our evening’s outing. On Sunday the three companies together with the Scouts held a combined parade at St. George’s Church Frankton, and although it was an evening service there was a large attendance of both Guides and Scouts. In answer to your appeal for books for the Sunshine Ward it has given our Patrol great pleasure in sending In a small bundle which we hope the children will enjoy. We were so pleased to beard from you again Robins Field Day is very near now! Thanks for the books.— Peter Pan.
