GLEN MASSEY NEWS.
SURPRISE PARTY. A surprise party was taken to the residence of Mrs Rutter, sen., in honour of her birthday. A very enjoyable evening was spent in dancing, games and competitions. Mrs Rutter, who is very popular in the district, was the recipient of many handsome gifts, as well as good wishes. Among those present were:—Mesdames H. Trew, S. Fowler, C. Rutter, E. Rutter, G. Bull, J. Bowen, Woodward, Brunskill, Duck; Misses A. Derbyshire, P. Steadman, E. Fowler. B. and C. Bowen. Personal. Mr and Mrs J. Cummings have returned from a holiday spent in Canterbury and Westland. Miss Burt has returned to Glen Massey from Whatawhata. Mr and Mrs C. Westfield have returned from a short visit to Auckland. Mrs MaeKenzie has returned from a visit to Rotorua.
