WAITERIMU —MATAHURU.
Football Dance. The dance organised by the Football Club was a very successful affair, socially and financially. Mr Allan’s lluntly Orchestra provided the music. Mr La wry was M.G. A large number of visitors attended from To Hoe. The hall was very tastefully decorated, and an excellent supper was provided. A Surprise Party. About a fortnight ago a surprise party raided "Brownwood,” the residence of Mr and Mrs S, W. lies. Mrs C. Storey and Mr lies won the prizes. This successful funotion was organised by Mrs G. C. Hawken and Mrs C. Storey. It is probable that a bridge tournament will be held in the hall at an early date. A House-warming. Mr John Storey’s new house is near completion, and a house-warming is keenly anticipated. Rifle Shooting. The Waikare Defence Rifle Club is looking forward to its tests for qualifying and_rnarksmanship. Electric Power. The Power Board is starting operations in the district. Next season's milking will bo worked under new conditions. Personal. Mr and Mr? W. A. Grant, of Matahuru, are leaving to take up a farm in another district.
