CHILD KILLED.

STREET CROSSING ACCIDENT. (By Telegraph. —-Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. Following injuries sustained as a result of being knocked by a motorvan last evening, Eunice Amelia Wood, aged six, died in hospital this morn°The father of the child, Charles Wood, in liis evidence at the inquest said that the deceased with two other children was crossing the road at a street junction when a van driven by Wallace George Ross was approaching. Two children ran back, but Eunice Wood ran forward and was knocked down. She sustained injuries to her head and her thigh was fractured. The hearing was further adjourned.
