A MURDER CHARGE.
SURRY HILLS AFFRAY. JURY UNABLE TO AGREE. (Received March 22, 1.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 22. After being locked up all night the jury disagreed in the case in which Frank Gi'een was charged with the murder of Bernard Dalton. Green was remanded in custodypending the official determination of whether further proceedings be taken. There was another violent underworld affray at Surry Hills on November 13. A fusillade of revolver shots resulted in Bernard Dalton, aged 45, an electrician, being shot dead. Ilis companion, Walter Tomlinson, aged 29, a wharf labourer, was shot in the chest and died later. Edward Brady, aged 29, received a bullet wound in his right hand. Neither of the victims would give any information as to their assailants.
