PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
ANNUAL ATHLETIC SPORTS
FIXTURE AT RUGBY PARK. MANY SCHOOLS REPRESENTED. Some 1500 schoolchildren, representing schools throughout the South Auckland district, are congregated at Rugby Park to-day, for the annual sports meeting of the South Auckland Public Schools Amateur Athletic Association. Competition is very keen. A number of trophies arc offered, including some handsome cups. This year the entries constitute a record, there being a 50 per cent, increase on last year’s figures. The programme, which is long and comprehensive, was commenced this morning; and good progress had been made when the luncheon adjournment was called. Following are the results up to the time of going to press:—
