VALEDICTORY.
FAREWELL AT WAITOA. POPULAR RESIDENTS -HONOURED. A farewell presentation was held in the Y.M.C.A. at Waitoa, when members of the staff of the three factories at Waitoa met to bid farewell lo Air A. 11. Jeffries, Who has been manager of the condensed milk factory for the last, three years, and who is taking his departure from New Zealand to visit his parents in the Old Country. Air H. A. Kinniburgh, manager of the dried milk ractory, spoke of the good-fellowship that had always existed between the members of the staff and Air Jeffries, and in wishing him bon voyage he asked Air Jeffries to accept a few tokens from the members of the .staff for himself and his family. The gifts were a beautiul travelling mg and a case of pipes for Air Jeffries, a very nice handbag for Airs Jeffries, an autograph book for each of his two daughters, an Eversharp pencil for his sonT and a mouth-organ for the baby. lii reply, Mr Jeffries said this was one of the limes when he was completely lost for words. He thanked pll present for the expressions of. goodwill and the gifts. Those present then joined in singing ” For lie’s a Jolly Good Fellow."
