KEREONE CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING.
Mr R. Chapman presided at the annual meeting of the Kereone l-ool-ball Club, and there was a good attendance oi' members. The report stated that the past season had been most satisfactory. The club had won the senior shield for the fourth time in succession- They had also won the Marshall Cup for the second time and the juniors had won the Jones Cup for the fourth time in succession. The thirds had also played good football. The balance sheet showed a credit of ft 3os Id. Special thanks were due to Mr J. 13. Thomas, who supplied oranges lo the teams throughout the season, and to Mr \V. llogg for his valuable assistance at all times.
The report and balance slicel were adopted. ~ , Election of officers resulted:—patron, Mr W. »1. Aitkonj president, Mr -T. H. Thomas; vice-presidents, Mrs It. Reid, and Messrs YV. Hogg, •!. C. Mclntyre, YV. Neels and B- Harnett; secretary and treasurer, Mr Y\. Harnett; senior selectors, Messrs C. H. Pirrit and F. Thomas; junior selector, Mr A. Thomas; third grade selector, Mr W. Neels; delegates to the Morrinsville Rugby Union, Messrs \Y. llogg, F. Thomas and YV. Neels, custodians, .Messrs A. Thomas and A. J. Harnett; line umpires, Messrs NY. Neels, D. T. Davies, 13- Harnett, if. Mulcahv; general committee, Messrs B. Chapman, G. H. Pirrit, F. Thomas and the secretary and senior captain, social committee, Messrs Y\. J. ilAinett, K. Kennedy, S. Thomas, G. Bailow and A. Reed. Six new members were elected, it was decided lo hold the first prae ice on March 29, with an outside team n possible. „ , A Hearty vote of thanks was passed to the club’s officers and those vHio had assisted with donations.
