COST TO BRITAIN. LONDON, March 18. The Postmaster-General, Mr 11. B. Lees-Smith, in answer to a question in the House of Commons, stated the total over-all cost, including landlines from London, for providing telephone services to Canada, South Africa, India, and Australia by means of the Post Office radio stations, Rugby and Baldock, was estimated at £43,000. This ’included £4OOO of the existing costs of Rugby and Baldock, making the net amount for the Dominion service £39,000.
