LIFE SAVING.
ROYAL SOCIETY EXAMINATIONS. LOCAL CANDIDATES SUCCESSFUL. Two Hamilton ladies have qualified for the Award of Merit, one of tiio most important of the Royal Life Saving Society's awards. They are Misses D. Pratt and I’. English, who were examined by Hie chief offiei;t,l for the Hamilton Sub-centre of the society, Mr C. D. Richardson. Among the tests which the candidates had In pass was the difficult feat of swimming GOO yards fully dressed. Rotli of the ladies gained high marks in all tests.
