ATTACK ON HIMALAYAS.
KINCHINJiNGA EXPEDITION. JOINED BY LOCAL EXPERT. (Received March 20, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, March 19. Mr. Wood Johnston, a tea planter at Darjeeling, and an experienced llimilayan mountaineer, is joining the Kinchinjinga expedition. Sir W. Birdwood lias arranged that a specially-selected Gurkha non-com-missioned officer,, who speaks English, shall accompany the party'. The expedition has applied direct to the Maharajah for permission to enter Nepal, and will probably leave Darjeeling on Ajjril 4,
