SERIES OF INCIDENTS. CULMINATION IN POLICE COURT. EX-MINISTER FINED. (Received March 20, 11.55 a.m.) CAPETOWN, March 19. Senator Boydell was fined £lO for assaulting Mr Marwick, Member for IIIOYO. Mr Marwick criticised Mr Boydell when Minister of Labour in connection with the sugar settlement scheme and at Natal Mr Boydell maintained that Mr Marwick had impugned his personal honour during the elections. Later, the two men met at a meeting at Durban at which Mr Boydell called Mr Marwick a coward. Marwick then hit Boydell. The men next met at the Empire Parliamentary Association meeting at the conclusion of which Mr Boydell demanded an apology. Mr Marwick refused to tender same, whereupon Mr Boydell hit him thrice, breaking three of his teeth and rendering Mr Marwick unconscious.
