CAR LEAVES ROAD.
SEVERAL PASSENGERS HURT. When a car, owned by the Aarcl Motor and Tourist Services, and driven by Mr Donald Cattanach, was proceeding toward Auckland, a front tyre burst as it neared the bridge across the creek on the Papakura side of Takanini. The car, a heavy closed model, swerved across the road, crashed through a wire fence and rolled over several times, Anally falling on its side on the bed of the creek. Mr and Mrs D. R. Salmon, of Devonport, and Miss Alpin, of Morningside, were slightly injured. The other passengers were Mr and Mrs James Murphy, Mount Eden, Mr J. A. Sumish, Parnelf, and Mr R. H. Feisst, of Cambridge, who escaped with a shaking.
