LORRY SMASHED.
STRUCK BY A TRAIN. DRIVER NOT SERIOUSLY HURT. (iß(y Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Monday. A crossing smash occurred this morning at King's Road when a lorry driven by Kenneth Stephens was struck by a train and completely smashed. The driver escaped with head injuries, which proved not serious though the cat) of Hie lorry was reduced to splinters. The engine of lbc train was damaged by the impact, but was aide to continue its journey.
