MINISTERS ASPERSED. FAVOURS TO LARGE COMPANY. ALLEGATIONS PERSISTED IN. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel.—Copyright. (Received March 17, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 17. An investigation of charges hv Mr S. Williams concerning mining ordinances in New Guinea is being fostered by the Australian Labour Party. Mr Williams alleges that by the actions of .Messrs J. A. Beasley (Honorary Minister), ancl Et G. Theodore (Federal Treasurer), miners on the goldfields have been dispossessed in favour of a large company. Th c charges were refuted by the Ministers whose explanations were accepted by the Party executive and .Mr Williams’ endorsement for a State Parliamentary seat was ordered to be cancelled. Mr Williams has since written to the executive offering to substantiate his allegations, so ’the matter will probably be revived at the Labour Party’s Easter Conference.
