BOND'S ALMANAC.
We have lately had tho pleasure of looking .through that useful publication "Bond's Alnianac," 1893, printed and published by Mr J. S. Bond, of Cambridge. It would be hard to conceive a work of its dimensions more full of practical and useful information, particularly for country settlers. In addition to the unml statistical information rolative to the progress of tho colony in general, and of each Waikato district in particular, there are a number of hints upon cropping, manures, lime, etc., very valuable in themselves, as the results of experiences gained by practical mon in the district and furnished to the publisher, But perhaps the most valuable porti.in of the work, is that which is devoted to a legal compendium revised to data by a folic tor of the Supreme Court. This gives in a handy concise form, the leading features of those statutes which are likely to effect various branches of the community, but particularly farmers, We may instance a few such as brands, branding, (log registration, drainage, school committees, fencing, impounding and trespass, local elections, rates, stamps, sheep, etc, etc. This section alone is well worth the cost price of the book, and we consider that no settler's home i» complete without a copy of" Bond's Almanac."
