HAMILTON REGATTA.
Arrangements are now well forward in connection with the Annual Regatta and Swimming Sports t? ba held on the Hamilton Lake, on Monday next, We hear that seven boats have entered for tho pair oared boat race, four for the four-oar, and the aame number for the sinßle scull. Inthe fiob Roy canoe race there will be six contestants. These include entries from Te Aroha, Auckland and Ngaruawahia. Six entries have boen promised for each of the two Maori canoo hurdle. races and flat races and as ontries will be received up to within time of starting several others may bo expected. Messrs Hume, Cox and McSwoenevhave entered for the 220 yds Championship of Waikato. . ' , The entries for the 100 yds Championship of New Zealand will appear in Saturday's issue.
Included amongst tho other events are Maiden Swimming Race, Boys', and Girls' Swimming Races, Open Long Dive, Greasy Boom, Obstacle Running Race, and the Hamilton Handicap 150 yds Swimming, for all of which post entries will be received. The Hamilton Brass Band will discourse sweet music during the afternoon, and Heats, awnings, etc, will be provided for the ladies.
