HUNTLY.
Sohooi, Committer,--A meeting of the School Committee was held on Monday evening. As Mr Robson (tho chairman) Imd left Huntly, Mr Clout was appointed chairman for the remainder of the term, and was authorised to sign cheques with the treasurer, The secretary was instructed to communicate with tho late chairman, and request him to notify the committee in writing that ho had resigned tho office, The Board had given notice of their intention to remove Miss Tidd from the Huntly school, but gave no indication nf any intention to fill her place with another teacher. The head teacher was present, by request of the committee, and submitted a statement of accounts in connection with tlio late concert and picnic. The receipts, including a donation from the band, amounted to £ls 4s 4d, and the expenditure to £ls 14s 4d, resulting in a debit balance of 10s, which the head teacher willingly offered to square, It was decided to attend to several small matters of repairs durinf, the holidays, and provide sundiy school requisites, A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Airs Smith and all the teachers for their exertions on behalf of the children.
