KIHIKIHI.
Bano op Hope.—'The Kiliikilii Band of Hope meeting was held on Friday, 12th in9t., the Rev. W. Gittos presiding. Mr Micklejohn was also present and after delivering an interestingaddress, gave some good advice to the young folks regarding their selection of recitations, readings, etc., desiring them never to select a piece merely because it would raise n laugh. Band of Hope boys and girls should have a higher ambition, and he hoped all present would do what they could towards bringing about such a consummation in thoir future meetings. A gentlemen from Auckland (Mr Benton) gave those present a pleasant surprise by rendering a selection on the Autto harp and also singing a solo " Tho King's Own/'both items being greatly appreciated by the audience, Mr S. Holloway also contributed an interesting recitation, 11 1 intend," and the following young ladies helped aloug the programme-with their solos; the Misses J. and H. Harris and K. Meredith. Mr J. Howard,of Te Awamutu, also gave aan instructive reading; and before tho meeting closed several young people signed the pledge.
