(lIV KLKCTRIC TRLKGR.mi—COPrittGHT) Sydney, January 11. Tiie Lubeck, which has arrived from Samoa brings news that the United States warship Alliance had it narrow escape of going ashore at Apia during a heavy gale. She dragged her anchors and the engines only operated as the vessel scraped on the reef. The Samoiui Times says the Saiuoan treasury is empty and the salaries of some of tlis administrative officers are in arrears.
News from Tutnila with respect to the war is not of a very re-assuring character, anil it is reported that the men of Alulana West, which is i the most populous district in the island, aro inclined to go to the seat of war.
