A sprout; meeting of the above council was held in the council chambers, Hamilton, nn Tuesday afternoon. Present: Crs, Primrose (chairman), Seddon, Johnson, Forrest nntl P.iton. Rmi.vfi Accounts. -Tlib riding accounts to December 22nd. 1892, were as follows :- Raneiriri, £3l 2s lid credit; Kirikiriroa. £Sfl !)sll|d credit; Tainalra. £3O 4< 3Jd deliit; Oambritige, £O4 17s debit; Model Farm account, £l2B 7s 2d debit; debit balance at bank, £IOB 15s 7d ; arid at date: Rangiriri, £lB 12s (id credit; Kirikiriroa, £23 7s llid credit; Tamahere, £4B 4* 3kl debit; Cambridge, £B3 Is 51 debit; Model Farm, £l2B 7s 2d debit: debit balance at bank, £217 12s 3d. Culvert,—Mr Geo, Reid waited on the Council and agreed to pay Inlf the cost of putting a culvert across the mad leading to the Waikato river from Lot 57, Tanpiri, The amount is limited to £O, Tho culvert is to be put in under Cr Johnson's supervision.
Sbiisiuv.-Tlio Commissioner of Taxes wrote, saving that the Treasury had been instructed tn pay £3313s 4d, being the 75 ner cent, advance upon the ratec collectable for the year, The amount is made up as follows :~Cambridge Road Board, £0517s lOd j Kil'ikirimn R"iul Nonrd, tO3 15<; Tamahere Road lizard, £35; outlying district (rates collect ihle for the outlying Histrict reduced from £48") lis 0.1 at Id rato to amount Brjual their Ji rate, £304 3s lOd), £l3O lis lid, Draisinb.—Mr Muir his ngveei) to allow certain drains to go thron?h his liiopwty.
Opening Road.-Mr Gen. Reid asked that a portion of the road leading by Douglas' be opened up sn as tn allow nf travelling through without trespassing, He offered tn contribute £lO if tho work was completed by May next; He also pointed out that the bridge at the hottom of Fonte's liill was out of order and rotten.—The letter was received.
Tksi>rhs,— I The tonders for certain works in the Rangiriri Outlying District were opened. ■ The contracts were divided into Nos. 1, 2,3. Tor No. 3, A Kiddy and Co. tendered £7O 2s fid; J. McPherson, £75 15s; and J. Gerrand, £74105, These are lump sums, James Lindsay tendered £294 for the three contracts, and J. Bruce, J. Hill and J,' Smith tendered at schedule prices for contracts Nos. 1 and 3. No. tonders had been received for contract No. 2, suve iu Lindsay's tender for all three, the impression seeming to be th»t the specifications for the bridges on the job were too complicated, After some discussion it was resolved to accept Kiddy and Co.'s tender of £7o2s6d for No. 3 contract, to call fresh tenders for No. 2, Cr. Johnson to explain to the engineer about the bridges, and to allow No, 1 to stand over. . t.M'SK ok Mmeiinu.—lt was decided to allow the next meeting, which was to be held nn January 27th to lapse, and the next meeting will be held on February 24th,
