EXCURSIONISTS IN CATTLE TRUCKS.

«. ■ The Paris correspondent of tho Vossisehe Zoituua relates a comic incident which took place durinar some cheap trips on tbe Paris-Havre Railway. The' pleasuresocters found only half tho necessary quantity of carriages ut their disposal, and at the Harfleur station the overplus was put into a number of cattle cars, which were quickly provided with seats made of boards set upon blocks of wood. No sooner did the ticket-taker enter to demand tho passengers' tickets than he was greeted with a chorus of well-imitated " moos I" and the joke extending itself to all the other cattle cars, ho at last desisted from his attempt. At the next halting-station tho station master began a remonstrance, but "Moo! moo ! moo ! " sounded so overpoworingly that ho retired. Tho train finally arrived at the termin.is of Montvillier. Here tho passengers, imitating the awkward leaps of cattle, sprang through the gate by which travelling boasts usually leave tbe station. The station-master caught one of them by the collar. This was the signal for the whole crowd to lower their heads and butt at him vigorously with terrible lowing, so that ho was quickly obliged to take to Ins heels, followed by a final triumphant " Moo ! " The whole company, who had joined without premeditation in tbe joke, then broke out into a peal of laughter, atu l giving their tickets to a emihng , ofncor°standinir by, peacefully left.
