Mr Higginson, whom you have promoted to lieutenant, is only a full-blown corpor.il as yet, and I believe it is not considered etiquette to call the men now " Troopers," as they are no longer civnlrv, but " Mounted Infantry " ; but I α-n open to correction. Also, Private Johnsfcine, who won the goM me,d il, spoils his name with a " t. , '—l am, &c, Aiiiu-s.
