He is also ;he sire of Peerless, who won the Waikato Produce Stakes, 1891 ; also, Lottie, the runner-up in the same race and winner of the Huia Cup in Auckland, beating St. Hippo, North Atlantic, and others ; and Florence and Blunderbuss, all good performers. DUKE OF ALBANY was only shown once, at the Waikato Farmers' Club Stallion Parade and Horse Show, when he was awarded first prize, defeating General Fleming and Glancer. His atock are very superior, being very easily broken and grand workers. His sire and dim were two of the best and purest Clydesdales ever imported to New Zealand. Duke of Albany will travel as follows : Cranston—Monday night Okoroirc—Tuesday night till noon on Wednesdaj Fencourt—Thursday night till Monday morning Terms : Three guineas each ior up to three mares ; more than three mares as per agreement. TIO STAND THIS SEASON at Mr Carter's stables, Cambridge, and travel the surrounding district, THOROUGHBRED STALLION RAGLANDark Brown Compact Horse, 15 handß 3 inches high, 7 years old. RAGLAN was sired by Cap-a-pie, whose cross-country stock are favourably known. Tenambra, the dam of Raglan, was a highly-bred mare, and ran five seconds in Auckland. She was sired by that grand horse Tbe Marquis, and two of the races he won were the classic English Two Thousand Guineas and the St. Leger. Tenambra, by the Marquis out of Lady Manners—Suttin, by Pitsford (imported) out of Green Linnet, Green Linnet by Delapre (imported) out of Kate Kearney. Kate Kearney by Rory O'More (imported) out of Dagloine (imported thoroughbred Irish hunter). The Marquis by Stockwell (son of The Baron) out of Cinizelli. Cinizelli by Touchstone out of Brocade. Brocade rjy Pantaloon out ot Boombazinc. Boombazine by Thunderbolt out of Delta. Delta by Alexander. When on the turf Raglan proved himself a thorough honest horse and first-class stayer, able to last to the end of a Cup race, carrying weight and defeating the best horses in Auckland. In sprint races he showed his pace by beating performers like Teksum (who won races against the best horses in Australia), Cissy, and others. As it will be seen, Raglan is a suitable horse to breed from to get racehorses and fast cross-country stock ; and if put to roomy active mares, to get weightcarrying hacks and active harness horses.

THOMAS SUTTIE, Cambridge, STAND THIS SEASON AT 1 MORRINVILLE, The Thoroughbred Stallion, ST. PATRICK, By The Premier—Phcenix. by Gownsman out of Ikamataki, by Figaro out of Brunette. Figaro by Gil Bias, out of Flora Mclvor (Flora Mclvor the dam of Frailty, the dam of Trenton, Cuirassier, &c. Phoenix, dam of St. Patrick, was a good performer. In 1875 she won the Pahautanui Stakes at Wellington, beating a large field, also the Consolation at Masterton. Ran second to Cocksure for the Hutt Park Stakes, and third for the Provincial Plate, being beaten by Fishhook and Pungawerewere (both Dunedin Cup winners). St. Patrick is a beautiful dark chestnut, standing over 16 bands, with i»iand bone and good temper. He has been shown six times, taking six first prizes, including Hawke's Bay and Cambridge last year, as an entire for getting carriage horses.
