CATERING AT THE SHOW.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I fully endorse the sentiments of " Ancklander," in your Siturday's issue, re the catering at the grand stand luncheon booth. Those th;ifc had the management seemed not to know their business, or else did not want the bother, for there was little or no attendance, people having to shift for themselves as best they could. I managed to get a slice of cold corned beef, and after a good deal of trouble I got a few cold potatoes, and a cup of wash, called tea, for which I had to pay the niode-t siuo of two shillings and sixpence. lam ashamed that the people of Auckland sh.mld go away with a bad impression of the Waikat-i Catering. I hope that at the next Waikato Show the committee will see that the p irty who gets the contract will be a competent person to carry it out to the satisfaction of the public. As regards visitors, the show wa.sa decided sneee-s, and for the credit of the districts, to send thorn away, with as favourable an impression as possible.—Yours, etc., H. Roohk. Ohaupo, October 31th, 1892.
