ST. ANDREW'S CMMBRIDGE.

The Inst of the present season's social, in connection with the above church was held in the schoolroom on Wednesday evening. The attendance was good, about 180 being present. The following items were efficiently rendered at intervals during the evening -—Piano duet, " Faust," Mrs Chittv and Miss Garland ; song, "Swanee River, , ' Mrs Wilkinson ; zither solo, " Carnival de Venice " Miss Hooper : song, " Loves Old Sweet Song," Mrs C. Hunter ; song, " The Better Land," Mrs Chambers ; sonpr, a Marching Through Georgia ; Mr Wilkinson, "Yesterday," Mrs Chittv, accompanied on the zither by Miss Hooper ; song, " When the Lights are Low," Mrs C. Hunter ; recitation, " The Coachmen's Story," Mr Pilcher ; song, " The Children's Home,' Mips Chambers; comic trio, " Three Nice Young Gentlemen " (encored) Messrs Hyatt, Fisher and Wallace. These socials have proved very enjoyable, judging by the manner in which they have been attended.
