MR NICHOLLS' RANGE MANUFACTORY, AUCKLAND.
This is a copital example of what energy, ingenuity, and skill will do when applied as Mr Nicholls has applied them in the manufacture of the best kinds of ovens, ranges, stove.-, etc. Mr Nicholl's is evidently a man of undoubted practical and technical ability. This is proved beyond a doubt when one sees the large amount of first-class work he has done in the shape of ranges and apparatus for cooking ever turned out in Auckland. In addition to his capacious factory at 342 and 344 Queen-street, he has a large smithy, also range and plate-iron workshop, in which the ovens, boilers, stoves, and ranges (both wood and coal burners) of all sizes and designs are made. Mr Nicholls has a fine warehouse 20x40, double storied, and nicely fitted up alongside the factory in Queen-street. In this there is a very extensive show of cooking and wanning appliances consisting of ranges, stove ovens, etc. t > be seen. Amongst the most noticeable of the ranges on sale is tho "Satisfaction Range." This is no misnomer, for it is really true to its name ; the leading features of it are improvements entirely made by Mr Nicholls himself. The first point peculiar to it is the flue ; this is constructed to encircle the oven in a very ingenious manner, thereby effecting a great saving in fuel and producing, much more heat thau an ordinary flue does, and renders it better in everyway for working. In this range one can cook a joint or tart at the bottom as well as the top, the under-side of the joint being in each case done as well as the upper. On the top of the range one can boil pots over the entire surface. This is effected by the tire being brought so near to the top, which is unbreakable, being composed of the best steel. This is an immense improvement on the old range and stove tops, which were of cast-iron. The range is encased all around, and it therefore requires no setting, We feel sure our numerous readers—especially hotelkeepors and housekeepers—will find these ranges most suitable for all cooking purposes, producing •maximum results with minimum labour. Mr Nicholls has a large variety of ranges, stoves and ovens, all of which embrace many new features. Mr Nicholls is completely master of every branch of ironwork, having had a thorough training and an allround experience in England and this colony. Wo call attention to his advertisement appearing elsewhere, and Waikato people in Auckland should call and see his stock. They will find Mr Nicholls is a very courteous and obliging business man, and his prices for his numerous and varied manufactures will bear favourable comparison with any other establishment in Auckland.
