Repeated attempts have been uui'le to poison the whole of Dick's family. One hundred and fifty of Carnegie's employees in Du Quesno have struck in sympathy with those already out. "Washington, July 20. A soldier at 1/ittsburg was suspended by the thumbs, for half-an-hour, and then expelled, for cheering the man who shot Mr Dick. July 26. The police assert that the attempt to kill Dick, the manager of Carnegie's works, is the result of a widespread Socialist conspiracy. Several other arrests bavo been made, and Heir, a most notorious Anarchist, is suspected of complicity. There is some outcry in the United States at the reported torturing of soldiers who cheerod Li«k s would-be assasinator.
