Owing tu there being several counter attractions in the town, the attendance whs not nearly as meat a* it usually is ><t these gathering, and several who had promised t<. nraist with jfonpii etc., were prevented from liy indisposition; nevertheless, a scratch programme was arranged, ana ttio manner in which it was carried out appeared to Rive every satisfaction. Ine following is a list of the |ierformers with the itoma they gave :—Song, " Ora pro mills Mrs Siminonds ; sone. " Tears,' Miss W. Walker; duet, "The Wind and the Harp,' , Miss Prieatloy and Mr J. Ganß ; reading, " Live for Somethinc" Mr Rd. Reynolds ;• song, "The Lost Chord." Mr J. Uane ; song, " Mary Hamilton, Miss Priestley ; duet, " Hymn of the Mdaviau Nuns," Mrs Simmonds and Mr Gane. Mr -Simmonds then mado a short and instructive speech, and a hearty vote of. thanks to the performers and those who had provided the tea closed the meeting.
