A si'kcial meeting "f the above Council took place nt Moon's Harbour Viow Hotel, Raglun, nt 2 n.m. on Saturday lust. Present : Civ. Wilson (chairman), Mathias. Calcier, Cut;-well, Me.Guirk and (till. Tuk Wiiiui:' Loan. — The following letter, received from tin- Whaingaroa Road Board, was rend:—"That on receipt of £33 15a, as per demand on the Raglan County Council of the 28th Auril, 181)2, for interest due on lo.n, with a guarantee of prompt payment in future from the wharf revenue hv the Raglan Cuuntv Council to the Whaingaroa ltoad Board, we guarantee the payment to the R >glau County Council of the sum ot £3 (Is lid per annum, as a moiety, to meet the sum of £d 13s demanded by the Treasury for interest on the £242 wharf loan to meet the extra debt for wharf erection."—After some little discussion as to the amount of rate to be levied, it was proposed by the Chairman, and seconded by O. Hill, "That a special rate of 1-Uitb of a penny be struck over the Whaingaroa Road Board, Town of Raglan Road Board and the districts of the Karioi Riding for too purpose of payine the interest and sinking fund on the £2-12 loan, borrowed for the erection of the Raglan wharf."—Carried.

Road.—A considerable number of letter# were read in reference to the stoppage of the mart traffic through Mr Bruco's property on the Raglan-Waipa Road, and from the information gathered it seems that the Government are responsible for the present state o[ things; at least this was the opinion of the Oo.mcil on the matter. The Government having taken the responsibility upon themselves by offering Mr Bruce £-10 for the laud should, sis soon as possible. make arrangements with Mi- Bruce to have the obstruction removed from across the road, so that traffic could be resumed, and this great public inconvenience done away with. Othku Business. —All other business was deferred, until the next ordinary meeting of the Council, which will bo held at Ngaruawahia next month.
