Eggs are fairly plentiful, but butter of really good quality is not so abundant as it was some time ago. Prices are at present : Best dairy butter, Is ; second quality, !)d : and third quality, 7d per lb, wholesale. lDgas arc Is 3d per dozen wholesale, and Is (id per dozen retail. Oats linn at 2s 2d ; maize in demand at 2a. Potatoes have advutmed fully 5s per ton ; Canterbury, liOs.
