PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

Ox Monday last the Pukekura Road Hoard held "their usual monthly meeting. Messrs Henry Buttle (chairman), Anderson, R. Reynold* and Walker were present. Mr Hyatt's application to be allowed to erect a fence about a foot upon the road adjoining Sections 411 and 4-15, Cambridge West, was granted. Miss Hooper wrote for permission to t.ike four loads of grivel. Tins was granted upon the usual condition that the pit was left secure. Tho secretary was instructed to call for tenders for clearing and forming about ten chains of Spsneer-street. Mr H. Kusabs wrote asking the Board to pay half the cost of clearing out a drain on Bukowski's Road. It was resolved that tho work be done after the chairman had inspected the job, ami provided the cost did not exceed 8s per chain. The furze question came up for discussion through » letter from Mr Tims. Viekers. The matter was held over for the present, as tlm Board intends to deal generally with this subject. The dial*m in's action in authorising the expenditure of £1 for repairs on the Station Road was confirmed. Several other small jobs were dealt with, and the several members were deputed to see the same carried out. Steps are also being taken to ascertain tho correct names of absentee and defaulting ratepayers, with a view of selling or otherwise disposing of the land.
