CAMBRIDGE CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW.

Brooks and T. llnrtly— of tho Cambridge Branch of tlio Auckland Chrysanthemum Society met oil Thursday last to settle up matters in connection with the late show. As the prize schedule for next year's show would come up for consideration, several of the leading "rowers of chrysanthemums were invited to he present 11 discuss the matter. Messrs Pilcher and Brown accepted the invitation, several others being deterred by business engagements.

Balance-sheet. — Tlio secretary and treasurer submitted the Inland-sheet, which w:ts :is follow-! ; — Receipts : To members subscriptions o">7 at £1-1 5s ; donation by W. Thornton, Esq. (cost of four medal), £3 os ; subscriptions to show fund, £12 13i; door money at, show, £31 (is !ld ; afternoon tea money, £2 4s ; sale »f catalogues, 10s. Total, £04 3s Oi. Expenditures : By remittance to the Parent Society in Auckland (the whole of the members' subscriptions). £14 os ; cost of medals and enfjravinsr. £4 3.5; prize money, £10 17s fid ; prize meney (children's section), £fi 17s (id ; .show expenses, £11 10s 21; balance in hand. £13 10s 7d. Total, £l>4 3s 0.1, The balance-sheet had been duly audited by Mr ,T. W, Merrick.—lt was considered very satisfactory, and was approved and, adopted. A Donation.—The Chairman reported that W, Thornton, Esq., of ftlannß.ika-.va, has again presented the society with a similar donation to that he gave this year, viz., £3 os, to be spout in purchasing medals, or in .such other manner a< the committee may think lit.—The chairman was asked t-> thank Mr Thornton for his handsome donation.

The Next Show.—lt is most probable th.it the Auckland Society will hold their next show 011 April lich, 7th and Bth of next year If so, the Cambridge committee will recommend that the next, local show be hi I I on April 14tij and loth—the week following.
