NATIVE AFFAIRS.
« (by. telegraph—press association). Wellington, Last Night. A Bin is being prepared by the Government proposing the authorisation of the purchase of large blocks of land from the natives, payment to be made by means of debentures bearing interest. It will also be provided that a certain portion of the interest be set apart for the maintenance of Maoris who part with their territory. Other measures in connection with native affairs are also in the course of preparation.
