APPEAL TO THE PRIVY COUNCIL REFUSED. (BY electric telegraph.—copyright.) London, May IS. Tiie Privy Council will first decide as to the right of appeal in Deeming's case. Two eminent criminal lawyers have been retained on behalf of the appelant. "When Deeming's case conies on Lord Salisbury will preside at the Priry Council wich a full Court, the House of Lords being adjourned for the purpose. If the appeal is granted the order for respite rests with the Colonial office. Melbourne, May 19. The gaol authorities have decided not to allow Mr Lyle to visit Desming without special permission. London, May 19. The Privy Council unanimously refused to allow tho appeal in the Deeming case. [Deeming's execution will take place on Monday, 23rd.]
