WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE.
(BY electric teleorapii.— oopyriout.l Ottawa, May 4. Twenty thousand women have signed a petition to the Canadian Parliament asking for the suffrage. May 5. Premier Abbot, replying to a deputation, said he hoped that female suffrage would become law in Can» ada. London, May 4. The London County Council intends to ask Parliament to pass a measure enabling women to occupy seats on tho Council.
