WAIPA AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting was held in the Alexandra PuMic Hall on Thursday last, for the purpose of forming an amateur athletic club. There was a gnod attendance, Mr E. H. Aubin in the chair. It was resolved thai an amateur club be formed, and that it be called "The Waipa Amateur Athletic Club" ; all meetings to be held under the rules of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. The following officers were elected :—President: Mr E. Lake. M.H.R. Vice-Presidente: Messrs J. McNicol, F. W. Lang, I. Hodgson, F. C. Germann, W. Rutherford, G. Wilkinson, T. Finch, J. Elmsley and T. Gresham. General committee : Messrs F. Bowden, G. Cruickshank. J. Ryburn, E. H. Aubin, G. Gifford, S. Reid, G. Miles, R. Hanwood, W. James, T. Bainbridge, J. McNaughton, E. Garmonsway and W. Smith. Hon. secretary and treasurer : Mr C. Bowden. The full programme for the first meeting of the above club, which will be held on the 24th May, will appear in a future issue.
