[IIY BLECTBIO TELKGBAPH. —COPYRIGHT.] Loxdox, April 1. Tiie Durham colliery owners, in replj to the Federation, have refused to allow the men to resume work until the question of wages is settled. The bricklayers of London have givvn notice to their masters to enforce the new rules upon June 1. A strike is feared. April 2, ■' The cotton masters have decided to close the mills on the lGth inst., owing to a dispute with the workmen. Seventeen and a half million of spindles are a floated by the decision. Much distress must necessarily ensue. In Hartlepool and Newcastle numbers are starving owing to the miners' strike, and it is feared that the result .vill be a reduction of 20 per cent, in wages. ! Two hundred vessels are idle on the I Tyne, and there is much distress among the seamen.
