(by TELEGRAPH. —PKB3S association). Ahhbijkton, Last Night. A THBE»HiNa machine hand named Jaineß Chalmers, aged 27 years, was killed at Chertsey last night. He had taken off the board to clear away some looso straw, the engine still going on, when he slipped in the dram. His leu was torn from his body at the hip, and whinked through the machine. He survived for nearly six hours, and died at the Ashburton Hospital. At the ioqiiost. a verdict of " Accidental Death " was returned.
