(bt electric telegraph.— copyright.) Ottawa, March 2. In the Canadian House of Commons M. Lautier, the leader of the Opposition, expressed feitter disappointment ar England's refusal to give preferential advantages to Canada in the British markers. Sir J. Thompson replied that England was already the grandest field for Canadian products. The Imperial Federation League of Canada has passed a resolution that in the event of the adoption of interImperial preferential trade relations Canada should be ready to bear her proportion of Imperial responsibility by means of ad valorem duty on foreign imports.
