TE AWAMUTU.

Harvest Thanksgiving Services.—Harvest thanksgiving services were held last Sunday in the Tβ Awamutu Wesleyan Church. The building was very tastefully decorated, although there was not a great profusion of fruit, there vvera a few bunches of very tine grapes nearly as large as plums. There was a splendid attendance both morning and evening, in fact at the former service all the available standing room was filled. No doubt part of the attraction was the preacher, Mr Garland, of Cambridge, who gave one of his usual forcible addresses. In the evening the Rev. Mr Gittos preached from the text. " He crowned the year with his goodness." At the morning service Mra Geo. Hunter sang the beautiful solo " He shall feed his flock," and in the eveoing Mr G. H. Colegrove sang the tenor rolo " Comfort Ye " from the Messiah. They were both rendered with great t iste and expression and were a real treat to listen to. The singing of the choir augmented by the services of a fow outside friends, was very good indeed, and the whole services were very brisk and hearty.
