CRICKET.

The remaining fixtures in connection with the second round of the Waikato Cricket Association are Taupiri v. Tuhikaramea on 2Gth March ; v. Cambridge on March sth and April 9th ; v. Paterangi 23rd April; Cambridge v. Hamilton on March 26th, v. Pateranpi March 19th and Paterangi v. Tuhikaramea on April 2; and v. Cambridge on March 11th. Except in the case of a tie between any of the competing clubs no fixtures of the third round will be played— this if in accordance with the understanding arrived at when the fixtures for the season were made. In view of the above the matches Hamilton v. Paterangi and Tuhikaramea which were, if necessary, to have been on the sth and 19th inst respectively will now not eventuate as the Hamilton Club has already scored two wins against each of these Clubs. The following are the positions of the different clubs, each club having 8 matches to play : —Hamilton, U wins, 1 loss Ito play; Paterangi, 3 wins 2 losses 3 to play : Taupiri 1 win, 3 losses, 4 to play; Xuhikaramea 3 wins, 3 losses, 2 to play; and Cambridge nil wins, 3 lo&t, 5 to play. A meeting of the Association will be held shortly to arrange for the return county match VVaipa v. Waikato. In the first match W»ipi» wero victorious.
